80 L Atmospheric Water Generator
Turn air into up to 5.3 gallons of clean, drinkable water every day — hot at the press of one tap, cold at the other. No plumbing, no bottled water deliveries, and no waiting. This unit pulls moisture straight from the air and runs it through a 7-stage filtration process that finishes with mineralization, so the water tastes like good spring water rather than distilled.
Read this before you buy: where you put it matters more than anything else.
This machine makes water out of humid air. Air conditioning removes humidity from air. Do not run this unit in an air-conditioned room — a house held at 77°F and 50% humidity will produce roughly 1 gallon a day instead of 5.
Put it where the air is humid: a garage, screened porch, covered patio, utility or laundry room, mudroom, shop, or barn. Check the output table further down this page against the climate where you actually plan to run it. If you are not sure, email us before you order and we will tell you straight.
Perfect for: households on a failed or contaminated well, home offices, small businesses, break rooms, cabins, and anywhere the tap water is not something you want to drink.
Sized for a family's drinking water rather than the whole house
5.3 gallons/day water production at 86°F & 80% relative humidity
7-stage filtration system: Air Filter → Sediment Filter → Pre-Carbon Filter → Ultra-Fine Membrane Filter → Mineralization Filter → Nano Ceram-PAC Filter → LED-UV sterilization
Hot and cold on demand: preset to 198°F hot and 43°F cold
LCD touch screen for simple, intuitive control
Whisper-quiet operation — built for indoor spaces
Slim footprint: 14.8" x 12.1" x 45.4" (93 lbs)
470W while making water — light enough to run off a modest solar array, unlike whole-home units

What It Actually Produces
Output depends entirely on the temperature and humidity of the air you give it. Below is estimated daily production in gallons per 24 hours, by air temperature and relative humidity. Find the row and column that match where you plan to run it — that number is what you should expect, not the headline figure.
| Air Temp | 30% RH | 40% RH | 50% RH | 60% RH | 70% RH | 80% RH | 90% RH |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 113°F | 0.4 | 1.0 | 1.7 | 3.7 | 5.4 | 6.7 | 7.9 |
| 104°F | 0.4 | 1.0 | 1.6 | 3.4 | 5.0 | 6.3 | 7.4 |
| 95°F | 0.4 | 0.9 | 1.5 | 3.3 | 4.8 | 6.0 | 7.1 |
| 86°F | 0.4 | 0.8 | 1.3 | 2.9 | 4.2 | 5.3 | 6.2 |
| 77°F | 0.3 | 0.7 | 1.1 | 2.4 | 3.5 | 4.3 | 5.1 |
| 68°F | 0.2 | 0.5 | 0.9 | 1.9 | 2.7 | 3.4 | 4.0 |
| 59°F | 0.1 | 0.4 | 0.6 | 1.3 | 1.9 | 2.4 | 2.8 |
The bolded cell is the rated condition: 86°F and 80% relative humidity produces 5.3 gallons, which is where the 20-liter figure comes from. Minimum operating humidity is 25% RH — the unit will still run at that level, but it will produce closer to a few glasses a day than a jug.
Electricity is roughly 2.1 kWh per gallon at rated conditions, about 30–35¢ per gallon depending on your utility. The compressor draws the same power regardless of how much water it collects, so in drier air you pay the same and get less — another reason to place the unit where the air is humid. The 500W heating element only draws power when you are actually pulling hot water.
These figures are estimates supplied by our manufacturing partner. We are finalizing verified performance data and will publish it here when we have it.
How It Compares
The Household 5 sits between our two other units. It makes twice the water of the Countertop and adds hot dispensing and mineralization, without the size, weight, or power draw of the Homestead 20. If your goal is drinking and cooking water for a family rather than supplying the whole house, this is the right one.
Warranty
- 1 year on the complete unit
- 3 years on the four core components — compressor, condenser, evaporator, and motor
Warranty service is handled by us here in the United States. Damage from misuse, failure to follow the user manual, or improper environmental placement is not covered.
Simple Maintenance
- Air filters: check monthly, wash as needed
- Water filters: replace every 3–6 months
- Membrane filter: replace every 12–18 months
- Mineralization and Nano Ceram-PAC filters: replace every 12 months
- LED-UV sterilizer: clean or replace every 12–18 months
- Water tank: empty and clean every 6 months
Intervals depend on your ambient air quality and how hard you run the unit.
Independence from the grid. Water from the air, wherever you are.
